We will start our tour by picking you up from your hotel, before traveling to one of Cajón del Maipo’s main attractions in heart of the Andes Mountains. We will complete a fun mountain biking route, during which you will see geological formations at various geosites in the area. Renowned scientists such as Ignacio Domeyko and Charles Darwin, among others, visited the area. During the trip, we will also have the opportunity to observe local birdlife, including Chile’s largest eagle species or, if you’re lucky, the famous Andean condor.

We will continue on foot to El Volcán village via a low-difficulty trail through a residential and industrial area, during which we will also visit the El Membrillo copper mine.

During the tour, you will see limestone formations, mineral veins, connecting tunnels within the mountains, and much more as you travel deep into Mother Earth. Once the mining tour is finished, we will cycle to a local craft brewery to enjoy a well-deserved rest and a good cold beer. And if you’re hungry at the end of the tour, we can stop at a local restaurant to try some traditional Chilean food.
